I lost my phone at radiation about two weeks ago and finally got a new one today. The only problem is I don't have anyone's phone number anymore. Since it might be kind of weird to post that information on a public forum, you can email me at stevenmmanos@gmail.com or manoss@email.arizona.edu. Notice the two m's in the gmail address. Or you can just post here if you want. Thanks and I will have another update soon since I finished another week!
Steve
P.S. I still can't talk so don't be expecting any long chats but I can text message and my fingers seem to be doing fine through all this!

"i'm going to jackson"
a couple things:
1. i agree with Edward, it would be nice to spend my greenbacks in foreign countries and get a better return(now we all know 1% of what is must be like for mexicans to buy US goods with pesos)
2.If you're worried about return on dollar, may i suggest a little country called, El Salvador, it'll ''save'' your wallet. Papusas = .25cents
3.When i said ,''Greenbacks" i meant greenbacks, President Jackson's.
BURN THE FED DOWN!!!
and send the board back to Europe to wipe Mr.Rothschild's bare ass.
Seriously.(that should get some 'flags' up for this blog)
4.Can't get enough for your corn? plant wheat! and i'll come harvest it for you.
5.thank you steven for your endorsement of Cormac.
suggestion: The Crossing, part of the border trilogy along with the other books you mentioned
I little inspiration for the coming week. From the scene in "Office Space" in which they beat up the printer: This week pretend you are Nagheenanajar with the bat in your hand! Fight hard!
I think for the home stretch, we need to send movie suggestions, rental prospects only. You have covered music and books, movies seem like a natural progression. i would like to start with suggesting "Across the Universe".
I echo Bethany, Fight Hard.
(Jean again, posting from Steven's computer since I am still down in Tucson.) It's been a nice four day weekend for me, and I hate to leave you. Jim's idea is a good one. Like the books they should make you laugh and there are plenty of those. Thanks to Kim for sending down a Blockbuster gift card with a VERY generous amount on it, and with the Blockbuster being practically across the street, this should be easy. You still need to complete a few more of the Mel Brooks' series-at least Young Frankenstein. I will bring down Arsenic and Old Lace & Harvey next weekend...oldies but goodies -trying to think of ones you haven't seen...and yes, Ryan, they are black and whites and if you make fun of me I'll make you watch them too...just try not to laugh! Another goofy one is It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, King of Hearts (Jen would like,) and if any of the Cardardies (Manos for close in age boy cousins - you too Patrick) come down there's always Animal House or just think Danny, summer of '00, Mission Beach. Love you mucho, Mudgie
Hey Baby,
It's Monday morning, and I am just getting ready to run. I have a new pair of Brooks adrenalines, which were the first pair of running shoes you sold me as a proud employee of Performance. You always made me so proud when I walked in. Your knowedege and presence was so incredible.
We had a wonderful time with your baby sister this weeekend. Truly, Lindsay and Amie are going to get their clocks cleaned one of these days. They have no filters whatsoever, and see nothing wrong with unloading on fellow snow boarders or skiers they term "Bras." We all know the type, great equipment, lots of cocktail talk, very little skill..
Those two are relentless, and sometimes a tad loud at that. But this aunt Mary is the proudest tiger in the jungle this morning..I boarded my first black diamond!!! A few nasty falls, but I have to admit, so much fun. Not quite ready for the jump parks, but....
Your in the home stretch, sweetie. Your comfort and progress will continue to dominate my thoughts...I love you so much...
Hugs to my sweet Jenny.
Steven, since laughter is such a HUGE HEALER, and some are suggesting "movies" . . . Planes, Trains & Automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin . . . the scene with John Candy driving and rockin' out on the dashboard . . . and the scene in the St. Louis Airport . . . I laugh 'til I'm crying every time! (I know, it's an oldie, but VERY funny!)
Good luck this week . . . FIGHT HARD!!
God bless you,
Sharon Collins
Well another shitty day in Paradise. My dryer went out and when I went to see if it was a circuit breaker, my microwave wouldn't go on. My kitchen faucet leaks like the New Orleans levees and it took a half hour for my oven to reach 350 so i'm sure it's on its last leg. My car door on the driver's side stuck (again) this time Greg or danny weren't around to open it so I took it to the toyota dealer. Two and a half hours later and $670.00 dollars poorer, it was fixed. Bean rememembered hearing poppie tell him we had an extended warranty on it so now I'm waiting for the service manager to get back from a vacation to honor my warranty. I'l let you know what happens.
Only one more Monday to go. I am so proud of you Steven. I'm trying to rent a place on the beach or bay that sleeps 10-12. Mary has her same place and I thought a lot of us could stay in a bigger place. I'll keep you posted on that too.
Well, I'm off to church. Your Dad was just here to pick up some
stuff. Keep up the good fight, it's almost over.
Less than two weeks, Steve! You're almost there!! The fans think it's going to be a new world record for this 10k race:-)
Thought you might enjoy this poem.

A day so happy.
Fog lifted early. I worked in the garden.
Hummingbirds were stopping over the honeysuckle flowers.
There was no thing on earth I wanted to possess.
I knew no one worth my envying him.
Whatever evil I had suffered, I forgot.
To think that once I was the same man did not embarrass me.
In my body I felt no pain.
When straightening up, I saw blue sea and sails.
Steven,
Well, it has been a while since my last post....the economy blog blew my mind a bit, the book blog was a good one...I endorse almost all books already on the list and nominate The Island by Aldous Huxley. It is another look at society, not after the fact, but as an alternative. Pretty good. Also The World Without Us is tremendously fascinating (Alan Weisman).
I hope the last weeks/days (I am not sure exactly) are quick for you and that you are starting to feel in control of your health.
I am not so awesome at movies as I tend to fall asleep halfway through anything, but maybe Pat will have some suggestions.
Much love and still thinking about you everyday,
Elz
